Why do we choose manufacturing in Germany?

Quality control

Because our manufacturing partners are based in Germany, we can personally oversee and monitor every step. We maintain close contact with the manufacturing partners that make our bedding, visit the workshops in person and can intervene immediately if problems arise. This simply isn't possible with production in the Far East.

Short supply chains

Production in Germany means shorter transport routes than for goods from Asia, faster delivery times and no long waits during production bottlenecks. Your order will be with you in 2–3 business days – with free shipping within Germany.

Working conditions that meet German labour and social standards

The employees of our manufacturing partners work in accordance with German labour and social standards. This is a non-negotiable requirement for us when selecting our partners – not an option.

Transparency

We can tell you exactly where and how your duvet was made. This is hardly possible with products from the Far East – the supply chains are long and often opaque.

What exactly does Made in Germany mean?

For Traumwelt, Made in Germany means: Your duvet or pillow is finished, filled and quality-tested in Germany. We select the raw materials – DOWNPASS-certified down, Primaloft Bio fibres and cotton covers – according to strict quality criteria. They are then processed into the finished product in Germany.

Is the higher investment worth it?

A German quality product costs more than imported mass-produced goods. But it lasts significantly longer: Our down duvets often last 10 years or more, while cheap imported goods often only last 3–5 years. When calculated over their lifespan, the price difference is small – and you sleep every night under a product that was carefully made in Germany.

No. Traumwelt is a Berlin-based bedding brand. We select our German manufacturing partners according to strict criteria, know them personally and sell their bedding directly to you in our shop.

Do the raw materials also come from Germany?
Not all of them. Down, Primaloft Bio fibres and cotton covers are selected according to strict criteria – for example, only down with a DOWNPASS certificate. The duvets and pillows are finished, filled and tested in Germany.

Are all Traumwelt products Made in Germany?
Yes. All duvets and pillows in our range – both those with down and those with Primaloft Bio, including the down duvets with climate bands from our Climate Duvets collection – are made by our manufacturing partners in Germany. Our satin bed linen also comes from Germany: it is supplied by BEFA Natur and made in Germany from 100% cotton.
